URGENT: New NYC ACRIS Recordings Policy
As you probably are aware, the New York City Dept. of Finance has announced a new policy beginning with
all documents submitted or re-submitted for recording after June 1, 2008.
Effective June 1, if a document is not picked up within 10 days of recording it must either:
- Have a stamped, addressed return envelope.
- Have an overnight delivery service envelope with the label completed and a
billing account number.
Otherwise, after 10 business days from the date of recording, the original recorded document will be
destroyed by the Register’s Office.
We, at RedVision, wish to preserve the integrity of your recorded documents and have
implemented the following procedure:
For a fee of $20.00 per document we will pick up your recorded documents and return them to either
yourself or the name listed on each document for its return. We will send each document in a three day
FedEx package. This will ensure that the package can be tracked and will limit the number of documents
that do not find their way back to their rightful owner.
Those of you that prepare your own ACRIS cover sheets must include the words "BRS PICK-UP" in the
presenter’s box.
